"The Dead Sea is my favorite spot in Israel, where I go to rest and be reborn," says Ido Tadmor. One of Israel's leading choreographers and dancers, he has created a special dance inspired by the Dead Sea, in order to raise awareness of the lowest place on earth, a contestant in the New7Wonders of Nature campaign.
The Dead Sea, which is competing in the finals of theNew7Wonders of Nature competition, received artistic reinforcement from choreographer and dancer Ido Tadmor, who has chosen to serve as the lead presenter for the Dead Sea campaign. For this purpose, Ido Tadmor has created a special dance inspired by the special atmosphere of the Dead Sea.
"The Dead Sea is my favorite spot in Israel, where I go to rest and be reborn," said Tadmor, and added, "This is the place to which I feel the strongest spiritual connection, where I feel purified and cleansed. For me, this is one of the most amazing places in the world, and it's important to me to be part of its promotion and development."
The dance was filmed on Kaliya Beach, on the north-west shore of the Dead Sea.
The Dead Sea is competing against 27 other natural sites around the world and is considered one of the most promising contestants. The New7Wonders of Nature Foundation, which is organizing the competition, predicts that one billion people from around the world will vote over the course of the campaign, which will end on November 11, 2011.
